Hi everybody. I tried searching, but could not find the answers I was looking for. Can anybody tell me what the icons are for when viewing an email in iOS6 Mail? I The far left is a flag, which I am aware of that functionality. However, I am unsure of the next two.
The second icon, I believe, has been there all along and is the equivalent of deleting a message (although I'm not sure it truly deletes it). I have no idea what the middle icon does though (looks like a file box).
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Where does the "Delete/Archive" icon put the email? If I want to permanently delete rather than archive it, is there a way of doing this?

It depends on the service which icon/action shows up and how it works.

Exchange = Delete (trash) icon, moves the message to "Deleted" folder
Gmail = Archive (box) icon, archives the message

If using Gmail there's a setting to switch between archiving/deleting in the Mail settings.
