We have a client that has downloaded our App from the App Store and subsequently backed up the iPad to produce a ipsw file. He has then taken that file and used it to clone 120 iPads.

Our App is misbehaving. Without going into too much detail, it has network issues and fails to sync with our server. Deleting the App and re-insallting it from the App Store, fixes the issue.

Has anyone had similar problems with their Apps if this cloning process is done beforehand? The issue appears on every 8 or 9 iPads out of the 120 he has cloned. Bizarre.

That's interesting, so how is the client cloning it? If these are on a jailbroken device, it might be something that Apple has built in that detects stolen apps or jailbroken devices and changes something once it is detected.

I didn't know you could backup and clone a device to many devices.
