Airplay Mirroring over Ethernet not working after 10.8.2

Hello,

My apple TV is connected to the Airport Extreme via wifi, and my iMac is hard wired via ethernet. Prior to 10.8.2 upgrade I was able to airplay mirror easily via ethernet from my iMac, however now I need to enable Wi-Fi in order to have the airplay mirroring icon display up top.

On the other hand, iTunes can airplay to the Apple TV without a problem.

Any suggestions?

My itunes airplay didn't work anymore after upgrading to 10.8.2. Even after itunes restarts; it wouldn't allow the airplay functionality to play it over my speakers anymore... After a simple 'on/off' of my marantz 603 system; it appeared again in the latest ITunes. Guess an external hardware on/off was neccessary for itunes... maybe that helps? 🙂
