Excuse me for my lack of understanding, I'm fairly experienced on the development/design aspect to this issue, but much less when it comes to the networking.
Essentially, I've created a "conversational platform" using php, mysql, jQuery, etc. which is running on Mamp. Ideally, I would want this platform to be made accessible to people who connect to my computer through a router (possibly in the form of a captive portal). Also, I'd like this to be completely separate from the Internet. Is this possible, and if so, how should I go about this?
Forgive me if my terminology isn't correct. I've searched everywhere for a solution and have even posted on a few other forums, but have had little luck thus far.
