My dad lives just a few miles away from there, but there's roughly ZERO chance I could get him to go. And I ain't driving from Charlotte to Annapolis just for that. :)
But Gary, if you go and can snag me something, I'd soitenly appreciate it. :D

I was just in Annapolis (well, OK, it was last year) but I won't be there for the opening. Too bad. I can always use another opening day T-shirt.

I won't be able to make it.
That's a little too close to your house for comfort, isn't it iGary? ;) The Towson store is right on my way home from work, and I feel the gentle tug from it's gravity well every single day. :D

*grumble* At least you have one (probably more!). *sniff* I'd like at least one! :o :pSince we both live in California, we'll get plenty more chances. Apple seems to think California needs an infinite number of Apple retail stores.

I'm sure that you will have a great time. Always fun to be around other Mac fans. Enjoy the community atmosphere. How close is it to your house?

Yes, it is dangerously close.
Like 5-minute walk dangerous.

i want apple to sell shirts and other things in the store...Hee, I'm lucky and I live w/in 15 mins of Apple HQ and the Company Store so I have access to the Apple logo wear, but they're all too big (adult sizes) and the children's sized clothing is not as slick and still cut a bit oddly. Like 5-minute walk dangerous. I am so jealous of you! If I lived that close, I would be in there all the time... until everybody recognized me (like they do Katieachoo-- sorry, sp?) or until they realized that if I applied for a retail sales position, I was dead serious and capable. :p :D

seriouslyMaybe, you know, I've never shipped anything... ever. The other thing is, I think Apple is paranoid that the general public is getting their hands on too many of these products because this last time I went into the store, there were printed 8.5"x11" signs all over saying that the Company Store had a right to allow anyone to purchase an item and that multiple items might not be allowed for purchase, and the signs explicitly stated that the items were not for resale... I wonder what prompted this!

what mommy (apple) doesn't know about a Tshirt doesn't hurt her. O_o
I will pay for it of course.

Oh, good, that means I won't be Mac-less when I head to Annapolis (USNA, hopefully...) in a couple years. Gotta have my Mac fix.

I'm becoming a sponsor for a Mid that works for me part time. Nice chap.
PM me if you want to get in touch with him for any suggestions.

Whose leg do you have to hump to get an Apple Store in Columbia?!
Since I'm right in between DC and Baltimore, I have about 8 or 9 Apple Stores that I can go to, but are inconveniently long drives (anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour).
I think I'm free Saturday, but I don't know if I want to make the 40 minute trip to Annapolis...

Would you mind saying more? Good, bad, or ugly, I'd like to know how the opening went.
