I found these instructions here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1428 but they don't say anything about 10.8. I just recently got a new laptop and set it up and installed all my software on it. I'm realizing now that I should have named my Short Name the same as my iMac so I can sync a few things and the paths would be the same.
The instructions seem pretty straight forward and mention that files will be moved over. It doesn't say anything about Applications and if this will have any effect on them. Are there any downsides? Will this even work in 10.8? Thanks for any info.
