I did look up search results, but I actually wasn't able to understand them so well. I will present my situation and maybe someone can clarify it to me and whether or not I did was correct.

I just bought an iPhone 5 and I really dig it a lot (came from Galaxy Nexus) and an interesting thing happened when I sent a message to two people (who both had iPhones). They were able to respond to each other and were like "lol who is that"

I googled it and it appears that it was sent as a Group MMS which has a reply all function. This is terrible for me because I send out A LOT of group messages to people (from stuff to like 'hey what are you up to' and my weekly poker home game texts)

I looked around and disabled Group Messaging on my iPhone Messages settings.

Does disabling that :

Not let them show who the other people are?
&
Not have them send out a message to the others?

Thanks for the clarifications!

(Note) I accidentally posted this on the iOS5 board as well. Sorry mods! Please delete that one over there
