FolderShare (Foldershare.com) is a secure P2P client that allows you to synchronize files between multiple computers (Windows, Mac, and Linux.) The software download is free and there's a free basic edition that hopefully won't disappear in 6 months...
It's great for those of you who want to sync certain files between work and home, or say a notebook and a desktop in 2 different locations. The free version only allows you to select 2 different folders to sync, but that's enough for a few files that you might want to keep updated. You can keep it running on auto in the background, or set to only sync when you tell it to.
I was hoping Groove (groove.net) would eventually come out for Mac, but they got bought out by Microsoft (it will probably eventually run via WINE on a Mactel though.) The nice thing about Groove was that it was P2P, but also had a 'relay' server so that files could be synchronized without both computers running at the same time (changes get stored on a Groove server.)
OTOH, if you have say a file server running 24/7 with Foldershare installed, that would ensure all your computers get synced as soon as they are turned on and connected to the internet.
The Mac FolderShare came out a little while ago, but I just found out about it and didn't see anything in forums here.
