I plan to buy 2 pcs from Crucial M4 512 GB SSD. I would like to use it in a MBP2011 late with optibay. BUT I would like to use those in stripe/raid 0, to see the OS as one HDD, and of course becouse the speed.
I never did setup raid things on MAC, only in WIN PC-s and there was an option in the BIOS settings.
I would like to make a clean install to the striped HDDs.
I red some tutorials, the raid partitioning is in the disk utility, but if I setup the stripe partition, and after I make the clean install, doesnt will be delete the raid settings?? or When I make first the clean install to the HDD 1, after how can I make the stripe partition without clear the content of HDD 1, so the OS also? So its not clear for me.
Can you maybe help me, with a step by step tutorial, how may I do what I planed? So a Striped RAID 0 system, and with a clean install on that?
