Mic on PB not working

I was just wondering if anyone else's internal mic in their PB stopped working when they upgraded to Tiger.....coz mine has. It just refuses to pick anything up but it says in System Profiler that the mic is installed. Anyone got any ideas?

Go to sys prefs->sound->inputs tab and make sure mic is selected rather than line in. Have you tested the line in? Does that work? It would be strange that a hardware failure would occur just as you upgraded, and I don't think the mic is a common thing to go.

Yeah i've checked that. The line in works fine, i was using it the other day. When i am in sys prefs with the mic selected the "input level" display thing doesn't register and this is the same for when i try to calibrate the mic also.
