Why can't we have the ability to print to PDF in iOS or Apple allow an app to direct print to PDF?

And I don't mean these apps that you have to open their browser to do the magic. Something native baked right into the print menu or allow it to do so from any app.

It seems so silly that this wasn't released with airprint or it has gone so long without this support native.

When Apple fails to provide, 3rd party devs step up to the plate. Mac: Printopia. So long as you have a print command within whichever iOS app, you not only have print to PDF, you can also simultaneously file it to your preferred folder.
