I was plugging in my lightening cable in to charge my phone and noticed that the case opening was only big enough for the small connector. I'm thinking the adapter isn't going to work with a case on. It looks like the case will not allow the plug to go all the way in unless the connector is a little long. I guess the answer would be to go with the adapter model with the cable attached.
