Why is this under a Mac topic? Shouldn't this be under the "Other News" thread?

Catagory:
Mac discussion

Sub-catagory:
For Sale

A place to "buy, sell, collect" Macs.

MacRumors is becoming the general hold all for everything you guys wanna talk about, which means less Mac related content & news.

You may wanna post you car ad in some local web classifieds, general AUTO related web sites, etc. But not here...

It's not quite that simple...

You listed your car in a For Sale section which is obviously for MacRumors members to trade Macs.

I would love to skip something like this (as I do with most of the 'other news' stuff), but you posted in the wrong site, in the wrong topic, in the wrong thread.

It pops up on the front page under 'Other Mac News', and I click to see if it is a thread about one of those cars with an in dash TiBook or iPod. Sadly, no, its a classified ad for a used car...nothing more.

The point the MacRumors site is MacRumors, Mac News, Mac discussions, Macs for sale, etc.

Other News (which this isn't) has its own section.

This place is getting overwhelmed with non Mac content in the Mac forums, and the value of the community is decreasing because members are not policing themselves and others.

If I were selling some used soap in this topic (Other Mac News: For Sale), would I be in the right?

What are you? You're phosphofluoridic acid who doesn't understand that you're not supposed to sell cars at a site called "Mac Rumors"

<insert comment about how Mac Stuff should be for Macs, blah, blah, blah> but moving beyond that...

Hmmm... now if only I wasn't 500 miles away from Las Vegas, with no way to get there anytime soon, that's not a bad car... and God knows I could sure use one.

Perhaps Arn could start a special sub-category and call it "Poo."
