Some people shouldn't be allowed to draw. :(
That's eerie.

that way we can see how MR minds are divided around this kind of pictures.

Wild stuff - I think the scariest one of all is Buttercup - look more insect like than anything else....

Man, Betty Boop is fine!
Odd. Betty Boop actually began as a dog and was morphed into a "sexy" woman.

I thought the page was really cool. I really like cartoon skeletons, and these are real-ish looking skeletons of cartoons, so that's pretty close. I saw a preview for "Corpse Bride" last night at the theatre, and I love the way the skeletons are drawn. It's so interesting to me.

Thanks for the link, iGav – I think they're pretty cool, if a little on the weird side. The Shmoo one is strange – I've not heard of that character but he does look familiar. His little vestigial arms look bizarre...

Love it! The weird giant eye sockets and giant skulls really make you think about the bizarre proportions of cartoon characters.

There was a cartoon back in the early '80's called 'The New Shmoo'. ;) although I only recall it was only shown the once, or at least not very often.
The show was kinda similar to Scooby Doo, although Shmoo's ultra camp voice was rather funny. He/She/it also used to be able to change shapes, for example I remember an episode where their van suffered a puncture and Shmoo miraculously transformed himself into the correctly sized radial. :p

Really impressive how he (or she but i'm guessing girls have better things to do with their time) has the patience to think about what the skeleton would need to be like to accomodate their external features. I half expected to see Calvin (of calvin and hobbes) in there as their is an original cartoon when he jumps out of his skin and reveals his skeleton.
At any rate, chalk me up as one of the weirdos who is impressed by this sort of thing.

Actually, Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shmoo) has some info on the Shmoo – very odd!

I really like it :D Seems more interesting than the average study that they have fine art students draw (as I know took 4 sem. of human drawing). This is a great way to see someone being creative and well...inside the box, make that body :p

It is interesting to see how one uses his or her talents.
Who knows what motivates us, and why we think the way we do.
If you had the talent, what would YOU draw?
I don't think this theme would have occurred to me, but it is very talented work nonetheless.
