Was just wondering if it was possible to resize an image while keeping it's quality.
I have this awesome picture and I wanted to resize to make it my Iphone 5's wallpaper.

Folding space
Fitting the aspect ratio of the new phone required some cropping. This should fit.

Edit: I used PhotoShop but this can be done with Preview. Open the image and select Tools/Adjust Size.

I'm afraid the original image was quite badly compressed as it is, with lots of ringing. Won't be getting optimal results when upsampling a compressed image.

How's a different crop if you want it though. Resized with lanczos and I went in and manually reduced some of the ringing, mainly on the horizon.

I'd resize with nnedi and spline36 but I don't feel like booting up windows.
