A friend showed me Ny-Quil, and now AFI are my fav band.

I prefer their older stuff, but STS is a good album.

Sing the Sorrow has its moments, although there aren't too many of them.

I had never heard of them before Sing..., which took a few listens to grow on me. It has some good cuts and some less than good cuts on it. I don't skip over them when they play during shuffle time on my iPod. I haven't heard enough of their prior stuff to judge, but it sounds more punk-ish, and that is not my bag.

Black Sails in the Sunset is an amazing album...I also really like "shut your mouth and open your eyes" also...AFI is also and AMAZING band live...I saw them about 4 years ago w/ Thrice when thrices first album was just releasing and no one knew who they were and AFI had just released "The art of drowing" it was unbeliveable....then i saw them again about a year and half ago at the Universal Ampitheatre in Hollywood...Im not a big fan of STS but it was pretty good live...I went backstage and met Davey also..he is a killer dude...

I didn't like Black Sails in the Sunset, except "God Called in Sick Today." That was an awsome track.

Sing the Sorrow and The Art of Drowning were good albums.

ya know AFI was a punk rock staple for me and my friends in high school. Then they released The Art of Drowning which was a good album, then they released Sing the Sorrow which although I wouldn't call bad album it seems to have blown up in ways I certanly didn't expect.
The biggest problem I have with them now is they seem to be ignoring their earlier nitro-records era stuff even alot of it is classic listening. I dunno, I'm torn cuz they seem to be appealing to the mall crowd now while shunning there older fan base.
