I was unaware that the Zodiac itself had any sort of power, but I do agree with a lot of the "stereotypes" connected with each sign (in fact, I recently wrote about it (http://www.chasenlehara.com/2005/08/17/suns-signs-and-turning-corners/)).

I've found that the particular book I have is fairly accurate, but it really depends on the person. There's just so much that goes into a person that they can rarely be 100% accurate. For example, I'm very close to the books description, but my step-dad has aquarius and pisces traits and is on the cusp of the two.

Either way, I've found it handy to know so I have a general idea of a person's character if I know their birthday.

Being an Asian and coming from a family that's beliefs are heavily rooted in Asian customs including the Chinese zodiac, I definitely feel the Chinese zodiac is highly accurate and much more believable than any Western beliefs. Just my opinion, of course.
