ok, i'm rele stupid, lets get that out there first.

i bought these "verbatim pocket cd-r" discs which are just little mini cd's that hold only 185MB

so, not even thinking what i was doing, i tried to put one into the slot of my powerbook G4 1.33ghz 12". it didn't go in. it never sucked the disc in. so now its stuck INSIDE my powerbook, i tried a butter knife but was affraid to stick it in too far.

i'd rather not have to take it into an apple store or something. hope this is a DIY fix but oh well if not

anyways thanks for any help you can give

i have a few of those mini, gamecube size, discs with flash promos etc. on them, so will they not be able to come back out of a slot loading mac?

Generally they're not recommended for slot-loading drives. More trouble than they're worth.

yea you can stick it in, but the computer won't suck it in

And what lesson did we learn from doing this? 🙄

Only joking glad it all worked out for you. 😛

oh yea, i know, i established at the beginning of the thread that i was incredibly stupid to think that this would work haha

Whew! Thought you meant you got the Sony MiniDisc caught in the drive. Either way not good. Hope you have luck in getting the disc out.
