Safari 6 Bookmark Bar doesn't work in 10.8.2

My bookmark bar doesn't work in Safari 6.0.1 in Mountain Lion 10.8.2

i can save bookmarks to it but when clicked they don't work making it useless. has anyone else had this problem. i can't seem to find an answer on google or on here.

any help would be greatly appreciated, without this function Safari is dead to me 🙁

I am not experiencing the same problems, but, did you try disabling all extensions and plug-ins to see if there is a conflict somewhere.

the only way i can get the bookmarks in the bar to work is to right click on them and open in a new tab...
