It's one I made myself using AppleWorks :p , so unfortunately the quality is pretty bad. I can send it to you, but I would also love for some one to try to revamp it into a high res. version!

I also have a few other versions, but if IRC that's the best.

20rogersc PM me with your email if you want it.

Well, I would post my desktop from my powerbook, but it seems we have the exact same wallpaper, just cropped differently. I even removed the NIN-Only text too. And I've got less crap on my desktop :D Just wondering, but when you downloadedthe .zip file from NIN's website did it crash Safari? It did when i just tried it, and it reset all of my preferences in Safari (looks like it set everything back to default settings).

I am quite confused!

Japanese cartoon porn? sicko..

That's the first conclusion you come to?!

I'm not one of those people who watch anime for the "fan service" crap they far too often put in and don't watch those as I think it demeans the entire art form. I watch anime because, unlike many shows, they actually work well with character development and complex story lines and they can be quite artistic.

But, not to get too OT, no. It is not "Japanese cartoon porn."

Dude, nice pic!

ESPN should hire you to take pics or something...

well, basically this would mean getting paid to go to baseball games-- it's win-win!I was actually working that SOX/LAA series for ESPN. Lots of fun! Playoff atmosphere. Was that the game that Ortiz hit the dinger to right in the bottom of the 9th? That dude is an animal. The next night I was hanging out over near the bullpen in right, and a cop pointed to the spot on this beam where the ball hit. Didn't get the official distance...but it was DEEP.

I said it was no big deal because it was no big deal, I figured e would understand, and he seems to have done just that. For the record, I was poking fun because a few pages back it was e explaining to someone about thumbnails and why there were good and useful in forums....since it was a ridiculously massive image, and nearly everyone had to side-scroll. I don't know exactly where it was....but like I said originally...NO BIG DEAL.

Who says guys can't multitask :p

Exposť makes it too easy to keep so many windows open and still navigate them quickly. My poor 1.67GHz G4 Powerbook is suffering though... even with 1.5GB RAM, Safari can lag and beachball for 3-5 seconds sometimes while a page renders.

As for the wallpaper, here you go (http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/details.php?id=359) (interfacelift) :)

Tiger (has to be there, doesn't it? ;))

Rain (I live in a place where it rains on average about 250 days each year, probably much more the last 12 months)

Woman

Man

(Not sure I'll keep the last two, though)

Never thought of using the resources I have right in front of me like that, excellent work. Did you have to find them on another site and enlarge them, or is that just a huge font that you snagged, and then set over a white background?
Does the character palette translate for you? or does it just list words and you picked them out?

Awesome, learning new things everyday is wonderful :D

So are all of those in Chinese then? Or do you simply understand how to disect the name of the character to figure out which language it is from? I noticed that if you select Japanese instead of All Characters that the meanings of the words are not listed, simply more symbols....

I'm kind of new to the Character palette myself. Just found it a few days ago, looking for an appropriate sign to use for an all-women playlist in iTunes. The "Related Character" field, from the "ordinary" symbol for women, led me to the Chinese sign, and to the list "by Radicals"... so I poked around a bit and figured out a couple of those would be nice as desktop images... :)

Thanks.

One tip though, it's much better to have your buddy list's color be an opaque version of whatever color is on your desktop. The text in the list gets very anemic looking if you use a transparent window for the list.

It's much nicer and truer to form if you have an opaque window.

Thanks for the compliments. I made a white Ikaruga desktop a while back, but I never really liked it. I've been on sort of a black kick lately, and this just seemed like it would be nice.

A far as Ikaruga itself - it's a newer game (Gamecube), inspired by all those Japanese vertical scrolling shooters from back in the day. It's incredibly difficult, incredibly fun.

Anyways, here is a link (http://mojoware.net/mnj/ikarugaburst.jpg) to the 1680x1050 version.

Man those games are great to play at an arcade, but I can't imagine them making money selling that at this age.

Then again, it probally didn't take that much money to make.

I don't know, it has one of the highest replay values of any game in my pretty expansive, all three system collection.

Google "Ikaruga" and prepare to see some serious praise being heaped onto a game.

I took the time to make a desktop image for god's sake.

I saw that it was a GameCube game, I guess it just never clicked. I was looking at some screenshots and it just struck me as an arcade scrolling plane shooter, something like 1942 (if anyone remembers that airplane game....for NES I think  ) which was just awesome.
