What do I need to download to be able to view avi files in Quicktime. I know there are other players out there, but I prefer to use Quicktime if possible.

You're welcome. With that and Flip4mac there isn't really any other player needed anymore. Besides real sometimes. :rolleyes:

To be clear here, the Flip4Mac plugin is for WMV files, not AVIs. QuickTime actually knows how to handle AVIs right out of the box, it just doesn't include a decoder for DivX or XviD, both of which are very popular codecs. As a result, it looks as if you can't open AVI files unless you install the DivX or 3ivx codecs:
