View Full Version : What is a RAID in terms of external HD's?

I suppose its a simple answer but I keep seeing the term used and have no idea what it means...

A RAID is an array of disks, regardless of external or internal. Variations of RAID levels exist, but I'm sure Google will be more efficient at explaining that.
