As most of you probably know, Spymac have been touting "Spymac 4" for a while now, and the site has been down for days for the upgrade. Site still says it goes live Sept 1st, but it's now 10am GMT Sept 2nd and nothing has changed.
Typical
I only use spymac for the cool desktops. It has been missed.

I visit there maybe once every few months when I feel stupid and it helps to remove that feeling.

We need more high res stuff like the ones you uploaded. Some nice sky pictures would be cool especially with this nice weather we're getting.

Much improvements over last version. Doesn't look like a huge Sunday ad circular and I can actually fit the whole sit on my screen, amazing :)

The gallery is filled with junk after all those foreigners signed up for free email accounts. It's not even a mac community anymore. Their site 3.0 sucks!!

I visited daily to gawk at Mac setups.
Theres almost a page of new setups a day!
Then, if I'm feeling dumb, I venture into the forums ... I quickly snap out of it.

typical spymac, their management is terrible. it might be a few weeks before the forums and gallery is done. they had this date announced for months and yet still couldn't deliver.

Hilarious -- I love the way you get right to the point, Lacero :)
I, on the other hand, actually like Spymac. Granted, I was pretty pissed and stopped going shortly after their 1GB mail and population surge, but I since returned and actually enjoy it again. I love their gallery and community, but I prefer the Macrumors forums by far. There are a lot of trash posts there due to people wanting a higher post-count, but I don't really sense that here at all.
I think Spymac 4 is a giant improvement over Spymac 3. I can't wait to see the rest.

I like how they say that Spymac 4 will revolutionize the Internet.

I really wish it were not left justified...I generally don't like when websites are designed that way, although there are some exceptions.
I seriously doubt they will revolutionize the web....

Like SpyMac for the cool pictures, and hated its layout and forums. Now I just hate the forums...

Do you think they're weaning the users off slowly before announcing the closure of the site? :D

Sad, the gallery was the only reason for me to visit Spymac :(

I also like the enhanced security when logging in
Having to pick three symbols on top of your standard password
I have, of course forget the code and they don't have a way of sending it back to me yet, as far as I know
Anyway what with the Gallery still down doesn't seem much point in going there

I think those symbols are a terrible idea. I almost forgot mine. Isn't my 6-letter password enough?
Anyway, I still got to rant about their gallery still not up and running. And their forums seems to be lacking a search function. Seems they spent the time developing the Avatar Machine.
It's been nearly 2 months? OMG. I have pics in my gallery I want to access. Hope they didn't lose any of it.

For an update on our favorite website SpyMac
They allow you now to retrieve your forgotten symbol code, but the gallery is still offline so no point :D
