I have a late 2008 unibody macbook running 10.8. I already have an external display plugged in but I use the thing as a normal PC rather than a laptop (external mouse+keyboard) so the built-in screen is a bit small and low-res.
I wondered how feasible it would be to disable the built-in screen and plug in a 2nd external screen.
Note I am NOT talking about adding a 3rd screen (if that were possible it'd be an easy option but I think it's not supported), but getting the MacBook to drive an external screen as what it thinks IS the primary, inbuilt screen.
I assume this would require taking the case off but I've done that before to upgrade memory... it's basically a PC so if I could get the right adapter could I do this, or is this into extreme hacking territory?
