I finally picked it up after 2 weeks of waiting for stock at my campus store!

opened box and found another! and it's an ibook! *mesmerized*

apple on the side.

ibook closed!

opened 2nd box.... found another box

in compartment, we have cables and user manual

power cord, cds for os x under manual!

underneath that compartment, we have the ibook compartment wraped in some bag thing!

inside..... ibook! (i can see my head on the cover... nice polish)

the plug thing

opened.... keyboard cloth thing, this will help fingerprints from going on LCD!

plug it in! AMBER and nice orange sticker (still havn't taken it off yet cuz i like the

color)

folds out!

congratulations...it is beautiful...

see now the wheels in my head are spinning...

i think i might sell my PowerBook and get a 12" iBook...

nah...too much work...but trust me if these were out in January then i would have bought one instead of the PowerBook...guess thats just my luck though..

Me and my wife did the same thing when we got our new computers last week. We both felt like it was christmas morning.

BTW: Don't you love that smell? I keep getting smelling my keyboard since it still smells like that. (I wish I was kidding) lol

Would you mind posting more pics of it up and running some other time? Especially the screen real estate and its quality...I'm curious to see how it has evolved since my iBook G3 😉 Thanks in advance.

I envy you. My iMac was shipped in it's white box, with no protective material around it, hence when I got it it was dirty, pockmarked...scarred. I thus was not able to enjoy the pure white that it should have been.

However, everything inside was perfect, and I was aided in the unwrapping part by my nephew, who assumed the big piece of styrofoam was a seat. He ended up getting stuck in that, and then later getting his foot stuck by trying to wear it as a shoe. Alas, no pictures, for I was in a mad frenzy to get my iMac up and running after having to wait close to a week long than I anticipated.

Beautiful pictures, I feel as if I have now, by proxy, had the complete Apple experience 😉

Awesome pictures, it made me relive opening my new ibook all over again! 🙂
And I know how excited it must make those of you out there who have an iBook on the way !!!!

Question: how many of you keep the iBook box because of how cute it is? and how many throw it away?

Have fun with your iBook! Have you got a case/sleeve for it already? I got my Tucano Second Skin in the mail today, it's so cool! And it came with a matching pouch for the cables!!!

Me too mad jew...their packaging is awesome...when i just got my powerbook 1 week ago, my girlfriend said i had ADD, cuz i was so concentrated on the packaging, and ignoring her....

It's a cannon IXY digital... i unno anythign else about it since i got it as a gift from family

pictures won't do justice of the screen - it kinda screws up the viewing angle and makes it look dark in some areas. I thought it was dark when i looked at it on display @ my campus store (university of Toronto, btw), but believe me, it's freaken bright when i got mine!! 😀

You mean the thing looks like a spider? I think it's the reflection of the ceiling light, looks to be a six bulb chandelier type thing.

I love it when people post photos of their PC/new toy/whatever and leave stuff in the background.

I once managed, using a magnifiying glass, to get a phone number off a post-it note in the background of a photo....in a porn mag photo-set😱. I called it and got through to some girl who was less than forthcoming about whether she was a leggy blonde with a cupid tattoo on her (very) inside thigh and was just more interested in where I'd got the number. Oh to be 15years old again. 😀

I know what you mean when even I get something new from apple I just love the smell. Something must be wrong with me becuase everyone else thinks im crazy.

yeah i took my time unpacking too. such a beautiful machine. man. sometimes when i'm not even using it for real i like to use it, just to be using it 😱 i just sit back and look at it...

my sumdex sleeve/case and backpack came yesterday. my crumpler weebee should be coming soon too...

and yes i plan to keep the box--at least for a little while.

I dont have an iBook but i keep the packaging for everything I buy. * looks over at PlayStation 2 Box * Yup... Everything.

For some reason, I am bumping into this type of thread, which temps me toward the new iBook. Even though I cannot rationalize buying another notebook (as I already have enough at this moment), I have been feeling this urge toward a new 12" iBook for my travel use. I am interested in its longer lasting battery charge and its durability.

I am also a rat packer. I still have all the boxes for my PBs and ACDs.
