hey every1,
Ive been wanting to add a Bluetooth internal module to my G5 PM for a while now, but i as far as i can tell, its just the standard BT1.1 version. Does anyone know if or when Apple plans on integrating BT2.0 into the PM's, like theyve already done in the iMac G5s?

Please reply if you have any helpful info,
-Zach

Bluetooth is optional in the current revision of PowerMacs, but it is "Bluetooth 2.0+EDR".

Bluetooth is a CTO option only on the PowerMac, so:
  1. You might not even be able to add an internal bluetooth mdoule to your system.
  2. Even if you can, depending on what rev PM G5 you have it might only be able to take the pre 2.0 bluetooth module.

Well, mine is a Dual 2.5 PM G5...w/e revision that is. There are plenty of the kits on eBay that i could buy, or im sure i could have it retrofitted at an Apple store.

Is mine current enough to get the 2.0BT?
