itunes opens every two minutes

Ok I am on a 15" Rev C PB running 10.4.2
after I updated safari a coupl eof days ago my computer has turned to crap. the latest is itunes opening by itself every two minutes, I have repaired permissions and checked for virii but nothing...
any suggestions? 😡

Have you got the iTunes widget running in Dashboard? This'll start 'er up sometimes. Disabling it fixes it though - ALT-CLICK on the black box on the top left hand corner of the widget.

I had the the same problem. But after I deinstalled miniTunes widget and loaded the regular iTunes widget the problem disappeared. 🙂

hmmm havent tried that yet but will give it a go.
