iPad mini close up pics of mini hinge

I have asked for this a few times but no one did it so mine came in today. The hinge definitely has the metal rod for the magnet sheathed in poly but hinge looks strong. Based on my grey ipad smartcover I've used every day for 18 months or so, I am not worried about this hinge degrading.It will require the smartcover lock type backs (ZUM, smartfeather) to be redesigned though, IMO
