Is there a program to capture audio coming through the sound card?

In my former Windows days, I had a program that could capture any sound that was coming through the sound card. (It wasn't limited to just capturing streaming audio from the internet application).

Does anyone know of any similar programs for Mac?

yes their is, you should search first... but version tracker is your friend 😉

Rouge Amoeba- Audio Hijack Pro. Works like a charm.

Oh, I did that. My searches for "audio capture" and "sound capture" came up dry.

Wire Tap...it's free, and it records any sound coming out of your computer..including the volume up/down sounds.

Are you sure? I've only ever seen Wire Tap pro, which you have to pay for.
