At what cost would you say, "too much!"

Totally just a curious question, because I know that sometimes what I will pay a lot for and what I won't aren't always logic based.

That lunatik Taktik case looks awesome but $150 is just crazy. Depending on reviews when it is released I just may pay it though.

I will go to ebay and search for about 4 or 5 cases. Order them all for less than $15 total shipped. Usually find about 3 that are of good quality.

I've been able to get nice function and reasonable design for all my iStuff for $15 or less. I like the 360 cases for ipad. They work great on the couch: $8-$12 on Amazon. I spent $25 on a Switcheasy Tones but prefer $11 Diztronic or a $5 rubberized case for iphone.

$10-20 max. Usually use the phone naked anyways, cases are just for fun imo.. i like colors sometimes.

$40 is where I usually draw the line on basic cases (medium protection, good aesthetics). I'm willing to spend more for good materials and extra protection if needed.

$150 if I'm talking Vaja. I've had Vaja cases on my last 2 phones, but they don't have one I really want right now. I prefer the top, like I have now, but I'd like some kind of stripe on it. And the top gives more protection than the agenda it seems to me.

So for now, it's a $9 case from Amazon :)

Less than $100 for a nice classy case ($87 shipped, the beautiful Brussardo leather wallet for my iP5).

Spent total of a little over $200 though for 7 cases for my iP5. Using them for fun an on different occasions and purposes.

$50 is where I draw the line and $80 for high end cases. If I'm willing to spend $150 on a case then I might as well get AppleCare and one replacement. Naked Phone at the same cost, nothing would beat that.

My problem isn't creating a maximum for one case but should be a maximum period. I've been a bit of a nut looking and searching for the perfect case for me. Through that search, I've spent well over $100 and closer to the $200 which is utterly ridiculous. I've pretty much finished and not planning to purchase any more, but I still check out the MacRumors iPhone accessory thread every day so we'll see....

I would have purchased my perfect case and one back up and not really worried about the price if I could have just found it the first time around. And then when I do find the best style case, it's changed for the release of the next iPhone.
