Note to submitter - don't use the phrase "short" when describing clips like this.

Bloody hell -- that program was going when I left almost 20 years ago.
And they still haven't fixed those iPod problems?!

So these blokes are whining because they abused their products and couldn't get them fixed under warranty. This is about the same thing as me hitting my Plasma TV with a hammer, and complaining cause HH Gregg won't take it back. These folks can take a hike. I've had my gen 1 for fout years, and even though the battery life is only about 6 hours now, it still works. Why, cause I didn't try to get an iPod jugglig crew started.

It keeps getting refreshed Blue Velvet, just like the country. You might be in for a bit of a shock next time you come back ;)

Hopefully next year, the prodigal daughter returns... wanting to buy a Mac Mini for my mum in Tauranga and setting it up for her.
Looking forward to being shocked, though.

No doubt there will be a few more apartments in Tauranga that weren't there when you left.
There is a lot more smog(no smog in 1995 when I left) and apartments in Auckland now as well as traffic  We are still quiet compared to the UK though. I was shocked when I returned in Nov 97 after being away for 2 and a half years that it was still very quiet compared to living in London  iPod banner advertising now too :D

Did anyone else have trouble watching the video? Safari crashes as soon as I click the link (both via MacBytes and by navigating through the TVNZ site).

I saw this on TV last week and just rolled my eyes. The first story is a no brainer - he dropped his iPod, Apple's warranty can't cover idiocy. The second story is ridiculous - it's obvious that the whole thing was a lie that had gone a little too far.
I love the way Apple didn't bend at all :p
