Very, very funny! :D I was bursting out laughing at several points, including the end. I needed a good laugh.

Mac people have a weird sense of humor, don't we? I thought my iSteve (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=147605&page=3&pp=40) was weird. This definitely beats me hands down.

iTunes was the only application I really liked the brushed metal in. I don't mind the new interface (better than Mail's), but still I'll miss B.M. in iTunes.

Haha that was fantastic!

"When is the Special Event scheduled for the next version of Calculator? Oh, that’s right, there is none, because no one gives a sh*t about Calculator."

I hope someone makes a flash animation of this. Though it may not live up to the cartoon already in my head.

I love it.
Soon Brushed Metal will have to appear in B-apps to pay his Lexus.

So what exactly are the people at Apple doing? We have Aqua, BM, iTunes, Mail!?

Extremely funny. I too will wait for the flash animation.

That was funny.

And it points out that Apple REALLY needs to get its UI guidelines into shape and apply them strictly in-house.

I LIKE having two themes--white for conventional document-centric "work space" apps, and metal for compact non-doc-centric apps. Apple has been moving towards that consistent pattern over time. Some apps are hard to define as one of the other--like Mail--but I do like having both.

And I like one of the themes being brushed metal. The new iTunes look is OK too, though.

But what's NOT OK is mixing up a zillion varieties of both.

ALL metal apps should look the same (maybe like iT5) in Leopard. And ALL white apps that have a toolbar should have it unified.

(I know Dashboard has its own theme of a sort--no glass scrollbars--but I understand why it's a separate environment and I don't object to that. It has a reason.)

^^^ amen.

While funny, it brings up how far Apple has strayed from HIG conformity. Just like with the unified look, are we going to see apps now try to copy this look in future programs, splintering the Mac interface even more? I don't know what they're doing, and I don't care what they decide ... but they need to decide something.

Heh, yes..

If Apple keep it up, soon enough, the Linux desktop will seem like the epitome of consistency in comparison.

And I'm only half-kidding.

Some panty-waisted moderator once suspended my account for a week because I used the work heroine. Can someone please tell me why Macrumors.com, a family site that can't bear the use of a term describing a refined plant product will allow links to stories such as this to be posted on their site. This is anadulterated, filthy, and devoid of humor. This type of article has absolutely NO PLACE on this website and I am apalled that the proprieters of this, what I once thought was a fine site, would allow it to be posted.

Simple. Heroine isn't funny.

Yeah, heroines are usually courageous women who should be respected. Just because spell-checked doesn't mark it as wrong...

Anyway, I saved the script in a file so I can enjoy it regardless of the server's status. If I wasn't busy preparing to move, and if I knew Flash, AND if I had artistic talent, I'd give a Flash version a shot. Oh well.

Perhaps I should have said "heroine". ;) Now heroin, that's funny. (sarcasm in case anyone misses that, thus getting me banned for a week)
