I found this link of a Nano that has been taken apart. http://www.kodawarisan.com/kodawarisan/archives/2005/09/ipod_nano_aaa_1.html
It shows that it has a Microdrive in it. I just don't think these are as bullet proof as a actual Flash chip

that photo is side by side with an ipod mini, which does have a microdrive, while the smaller nano does indeed have a flash based drive

Sorry, after a better look at the pictures the microdrive has to be out of a Mini... just used for a demonstration. If only I could read Chinese or whatever that is.

this link is just the Nano taken apart and it shows the flash chip: http://61.194.6.236/ipn/ipn02.jpg

That picture is from a series that, at one point, shows the innards of a nano next to the innards of an iPod mini.

The nano does not contain any sort of hard drive... it is Flash memory.

Study the photo. Looks like the Microdrive is too wide to fit?

But why would this Kodawari-san wreck his credability posting this.
