iOS 6 on iPad 4 breaks embedded youtube videos

A website I frequently visit usually hosts embedded youtube videos, but for some reason it is choppy on my iPad 4 while being smooth on my iPad 3.

I guess it has something to do with the removal of the native youtube app from iOS 6 but videos on mobile youtube work fine.
