Need another option: I don't live anywhere close to an Apple Store! It's not exactly easy when all Apple Stores are on another continent!

I second the request for a 'no store near me' option.

As someone who missed out on the grand opening and jaguar release events at my local store, I'm considering it...

Crazy yet crappy sounds interesting. ;)

I prefer Juguar prize giveaway, because they can presumably give more away.

Damn socialists and their twisted agenda!
Shop until your heart is content, but bear in mind the consequences (good/bad/boring/unfullfilling whatever). And now the fantics of the evangelical right are jumping in with their holy than thou bull**** moral directive. Hyperconsumerism maybe bad for some, but it is certainly not the fault of capitalists.:D

I want to go, since I'll be in the L.A. area anyway. But I don't think I'll have the time. It's going to be really busy.

I don't think "Buy Nothing Day" is going to be very successful. The only people who aren't going to be out shopping are those who did their buying early, or are waiting til the last minute. There will be some people who want to avoid the crowds (and those people who are broke or have no one to shop for, but you know what I mean).

I'm sure they mean well, but it's going to be a very busy out there.

I wish my nearest apple store wasn't 3 and a half hours away,
and as I have said many many times: Austin, Texas is the
perfect place for an apple store. We have the perfect type
of people for it, not to mention it is a big technology center. Apple
has its phone services place located here, all they need is an
apple store. I would go if I was able to.:( :o ;)

"FREE" Tshirts were allegedly avilable at the Jaguar launch party with the purchase of Mac os X 10.2 upgrade for 129.00 plus tax. Not exactly what I would call free, especially after waiting in line for two hours and having to shell out a hundred plus bucks.

Apple needs to redefine and clarify what the terms Sale and FREE mean, specially when they sell "Sale" stuff at regular price and give nothing away for "FREE".

I planned on going but I blew the head gasket on my car! It was the second blown head gasket in three weeks. I also blew the head gasket on my dad's van. Both are 89 Dodges, and dad (a mechanic for living) says that its common for Dodges (especially those built in the eighties and early nineties) to blow head gaskets. So I miss out going to the event at the Apple Store in Buffalo, NY......the nearest one in my area......I live in Edinboro, PA near Erie, PA and Buffalo is the only one for hundreds of miles. Anyway, I am deeply sadden that I missed out. It would have been so cool to visit one!

LOL, that's funny, but I seriously doubt she has ever smoked. There
are plenty of girls at my school, and at my old school, that act
exactly like that, and I can assure you, they don't smoke.
