I dug this up in the closet, it's a VGA adapter, but from what I don't know...
Does not look like DVI, but maybe display port? (not mini displayport)

it's not HDMI, its too old of a cable, Probably displayport I guess.

Sorry for photo, my ipod touch camera...

I updated my post, and HDMI (2003) is older than DisplayPort (2006).

Btw, I probably found the answer via clicking my links.

That can be remedied by not holding it that close, since the lens in there is not a really good on with close objects. If you want to have a focused object, you should at least keep 30 to 50 cm distance to the lens.

Looks to me to be a MicroDVI --> VGA adapter. MicroDVI is the video-out connector used by the original MacBook Air.
