need help with password dmg, urgent!

hi! i have a password protected dmg image and it asked me for the password, but i think i typed it wrong - and so i can't open it anymore, cause it won't ask me for the password again. do i have to clean a cache? which cache? please help me

Get info- what are the premissions? (Context Click- Get Info, or Finder-->Get Info, or Command-I)
Can you change them?
Can you mount the DVD via the DiskUtility?

If all else fails, burn it to a DVD, and try mounting it from there.
