I'm going to say 1280x(), since my only computer is a PowerBook G4 DVI, which runs at 1280x854

'Tis sad, our iMacs at school can go up to 1024x768, yet the teachers default them to 800x600 and yell at you if you change the settings. At home i use 1024x768 on my pismo, and 1280x1024 on my 17" flat CRT

Regardless of resolution, if Im using a CRT, it HAS to refresh at 85 Hz. Anything under that, and my eyes get nutso.

1024x768 on my 17" monitor...higher than that basically blinds me....

1600x1200 is still good on my 19" CRT.
Good thing with Chimeras "Enlarge Text" feature and the OS X magnification, but I donīt need it that much...

I think 1280 x 1024,but that wasn't an option. I have an old
CRT 17" studio display. Good monitor, I have had a lick of trouble
but it has never 'bitten' me ;).

1152x870, not 970... It's a 17 inch crt. It has some problems with geometry, so at 1280x1024 smearing (or how do you call it) in the corner begins

Hey, Whats with not having 1440x900 ? I think the FP iMac is pretty popular.

I have a 17" Multi Scan Apple Diplay that i use at 1280x1024 and sometimes the sides of the picture pinch inwards, but i just turn it on and off and it goes back to the correct shape. It can go up to 1920x1200 but you have to switch to thousands of colors instead of millions. I have both it and a 17" Apple LCD, also at 1280x1024, hooked up to powermac for dual displays.

Is that ever kind of weird. Having a CRT
and an LCD as your dual monitors? I think
that owuld annoy me, but it is hard to know,
I would have to see it.

Where's the option for "I don't have a monitor, I'm jacked into my visual cortex, you insensitive clod!" :)

Most of my work is done on the lcd so it is not too bad. I have the lcd in front of me and the crt on my left. I mainly use the crt to put background programs on, and to put the menus on when i use photoshop and indesign.

I use my 1600x1200 @ 75 Hz.
My eyes ARE already nutso ;) imagine using an Amiga for many years featuring 50 Hz and you know it doesnīt matter that much anymore...

A PMG4 867 DP w/Sony E230 17".
I work at 1280x1024 @ 75hz. I can go to 1600x1024 @ 76hz but everything is the elongated - i thinks its a widescreen mode.
I have no problem at 75hz and i cant tell the difference bettween it and anything greater. I can though tell the difference with the Samsung 753DFx for the family which does the same res at 60hz. it hurts.

Whose idea was it to make this poll without the resolutions standard for many mac monitors?
