my iPhone 5 battery was horrible in the first little while I got it especially at night when I was sleeping my battery would drain anywhere from 40-60% overnight but during the day with heavy use it wouldn't drain as quick (weird)
anyways I figured out my problem was that while locked my phone was constantly trying to connect to wifi and switching between 3G and LTE because my house just happens to be at the edge of LTE service in my area but recently Rogers released a carrier update (13.1) which improved my LTE and it made the connection stronger in my house so it wouldn't go back and forth anymore
second of all my room is 2 floors away from my router which makes the signal not the strongest but I recently upgraded to a better newer dual band router which significantly improved wifi in my house and it is literally never disconnecting anymore
my battery only drains no more than 4-5% overnight now and I'm super happy
point is the battery problem could be anything but just letting you guys know incase it affects any of you make sure u have a decent wifi signal or turn LTE off overnight
