I just run a Google search for whatever I'm looking for--e.g. Skylines, forests, flowers, or even specific things or cities (Venice, Italy for example), and click "Large" under the Image Size options. Then it's personal taste from there. The larger image size should reduce pixelization and, therefore, give it that more high-quality, Apple feel.

Get a stock image from your Mac library/Desktop Pictures folder, duplicate it and change it's size into 1024x1024 or 2048x2048 (I believe you can even skip this step). From there on, what I do is to paste it in my Dropbox folder - ready to pick it up with my iPad.
