iTunes won't import all of my music!

Well I moved the music files from my iBook to my PC but I can't get itunes 5 (windows) to import them. iTunes will play them but it won't import. I am not sure what is going on. :-(

If they're playing, then doesn't that mean they've been imported? :confused:

Are they WMAs?

AAC. They play only when I open them one by one but when I choose the whole folder they will not import.

When you say "import" them, do you mean the import option in the iTunes menu? That's not what it's for from memory (I know that doesn't make much sense). Just literally drag the folder with your AAC files into iTunes and they should import straight away. For what it's worth, I think the import option is for playlists, not files. Of course Add To Library is also what you are looking for, in the same menu, but dragging-and-dropping is easier. :)

I was referring to add to library when I said importing. I forgot all about dragging them. I'll try it that way.

Thanks SO much. I had forgotten all about drag and drop. 60.34 GBs imported :D

Excellent. It's strange that Add To Library didn't work though. :confused:
