Even though no trees have really turned color yet, I saw these leaves on my beach yesterday.
I still want it to be summer...

Oh, yeah. There was a summer  Summers in Florida are probably like winters in Norway. They last almost all year :pAh, now I get it. That day with more than 20°C (68°F) we had a couple of months ago must have been this years summer...
And, I live in western Norway. Here we don't have winters, either. Just long wet springs, a couple of days with sun sometime in July/August, followed by long wet autumns, then two or three days with snow, usually in January, and then it's spring again... ;)

35°F = 1.67°CQuite correct... I thought it seemed a bit low, but trusted the Converter widget... it did didn't register the '0' and converted 2°C... a bit low, even for a summer in Bergen... ;)
I'll edit the post above in the usual shame... :o
Edit: Hmm... weird... anyone else having problems with the Converter widget:

Stepping out on the deck and looking northeast there are quite a few aspen turning but peak for color is in about a week. This is near the well named city of Aspen, CO.
I didn't take much time with a hand held panorama and stitching in PSE but it's the thought that counts.

Fall is usually the best weather here in New England. So far we are still having summer like weather. Just happy that each day we are getting closer to those lovely sunny, crisp, and clear days. :)

Come to Texas.
Forecasts are between 98 and 100 in Austin for our first day of fall. "Fall" as in "fall dead of heatstroke," that is.

sadly i've noticed too, always hate fall because that means winter is approaching. I don't know if anyone else is seasonally affective, but I get terribly depressed for the two coldest months in winter, so the beautiful bursts of color in the trees are only a bitter reminder that the bottomless pit of despair is near.
dramatic? never :)
I need to find a way to harness this in an art project, i've been meaning to for a few years. I think I finally have an idea tho.

I hate Fall.
All it means to me is that an all-to-short summer is over, and what awaits are months of too much snow, and icy coldness that no amount of clothes can keep out, and total darkness because the sun vanish competely from the sky.
I hate Fall, because I hate Winter.

Huh it's ok for you guys with your fall it's bloody autumn here!
Actually it's quite mild and all the trees have their leaves and are very green, it certainly doesn't feel like winter creeping in yet over here, all the flowers are still out too and butterflies and bees (it's about 70f on average)
I hate the long nights roll on spring :(

I just hope this winter isn't as bad as last winter. One day we had a -45ºF wind chill and many people got frostbite for staying out too long. Then the next week we had almost 20 inches of snow! I took a great picture, but I seemed to have lost it when my HD crashed... :(

I've got a Boxer and I wouldn't throw a ball more than ten feet as she's such a terrible swimmer, anyway the North Sea is far too cold, brrrr.

2. Wow! Look at the fall colors already!
Abstract
Sep 20, 2005, 06:05 AM
Well, it's almost spring where I am now. The weather changes very fast. For example, a couple of weekends ago, the weather changed from being warm with sunny skies; to dark stormy clouds and cold, crisp air; and finally to white clouds and cool air. While all this is happening, there would be 3 minute periods where rays of sunlight would break through the clouds, just to keep us on our toes.
All photos are taken in a 4 hour span on the same day. The first 2 photos were taken within 20 minutes of each other.

Reminds me of Lewis Black from "The White Album"... "Fall is here, and all I have to say is ****** fall. I hate the fall. Woohoo. The leaves change color! The leaves change color for two days. Then a big gust of wind comes and we're left with nothing but sticks."

It's the autumnal equinox tomorrow. The 21st of September -- the official start of autumn.
Woke up this morning to see a big V of Canada geese making their way off to warmer climes.
Had some lunch by the Serpentine in Hyde Park yesterday. It still felt warm and summery but the nights in London are definitely getting chillier. Going duvet shopping next week...

Ugh.. I WISH it was Fall! It's still summer here. I'm tired of the heat and ready for some nice weather for a change. The strange thing is, we've had such a dry summer that many trees ARE changing color already. Mostly maples.

That's on the Yukon river, not too far downstream from the confluence with the Tanana River.
Last year, on Spet. 23, we got our first snow... and it stuck until May. SO I don't mind fall. BUt winter is, er, cold. Colder than a well digger's butt, as my mom used to say. I remember a two-week high of -48 last winter. So fall's great. I should get a picture of the ice fog this winter and share that.
