scheduling apple software update downloads

I was wondering if there was a way to schedule apple's software update downloads. I have satellite internet and have limits on the amount of download size per day during day hours but it is unlimited during the wee hours. I know there are scheduling programs for regular downloads but I can't figure out how to make them work with apple's software updater. any thoughts?
