...well, there isn't one, but it would appear that NewsRover may come to the Mac, if you make your voices heard:

This dandy little app has many automation features which take the wasted time out of keeping up on you news, binaries, etc.

As Ron Popeil once (okay, many times) said "Set it, and forget it!"

Count my voice in... I don't use such things much, but might become interested if made easier...

Isn't that Popeil guy the pocket fisherman dude? right on...

A cool app, but ny news, I was talkiing about NNTP (network news transfer protocol, newsgroups, etc.).

A headline grabber won't help you find an article relating to something esoteric, but joining the right newsgroup may.
