Hi, I hope I don't have a major problem with my lens but it would seem that way. In my photos I have what would appear to be a tear as at first (as a noob with this) I thought it was a dead pixel from my camera lcd (lol) but quickly found that it's not that.
So I cleaned the lens as per the instructions but it is still there and my warranty is up (the 1 yr.) of course and I didn't buy the extended one :(
Any thing else I could try? Is this something that will cost more than the camera is worth?
As you can see this pic is for the purpose of showing my problem and not a stellar shot. Thanks for any help, Scott.
What camera and lens do you have?

iGary,
the camera is a Canon PowerShot A75 (3.2MP) and it's the lens that came with it, I would say a simple point and shoot with a few manual features, 3x opt./3.3 digital zoom.
As for the exact...not sure :o
Hrm..I don't know what to tell you, then.
If it was a digital SLR, I would tell you to swipe the sensor. I don't think you have a bad lens - I opened up your image in Photoshop and it is definitely a pixel-related anomoly.
How old is the camera?

....That's either really bad jpeg compression....or you just got a camera phone with a canon sticker on it....

It might help to show us an image that is taken of an in-focus subject with good lighting conditions.

It looks fine.....small yet fine, it would have to be bigger....if you cant get some 100% crops of the center and various other area's where you see the problem.
