mail and print issues

I'm having a problem with printing e mails with the mail application. The font is really big and I''m not sure how to fix this. I have the proper font and size picked for the viewing under the mail preferences but it seems to be printing a bigger sized font. Is there a different preference for printing fonts?

Also, in Mail and some other programs, sometimes it shows printing page 1 to 320000. How can I fix this?
