i run a few email accounts through mac mail. recently i starting using gmail to try and be able to sync my mac mail through my gmail, iphone, etc, so i had a copy of mails on my mac and online, etc.
process went fine, but i'm trying to clear the 10000 gmail emails out of my inbox into folders, so my inbox is as close to zero emails as possible at the end of each day.
but whenever i try to move them to a folder (or delete them actually) , it moves it initially but the next time i move to another folder and go back to the inbox, it has every single email i've ever received on that server again.
searched many threads and responses, can't seem to find out why.
