Just curious...

My Air has the 1.8Ghz i5 processor which is dual core but how is that in Activity Monitor four little boxes appear in the CPU section? My old dual core MacBook only had two.

As for the GPU, it says I have "Intel HD Graphics 4000 512 MB" but when I was checking out specs before it arrived it said that it only had ~300MB.

Can some explain to me? Thanks.

The i5 has two cores and two threads per core, called "Hyperthreading", thus it appears that you have four cores, albeit them being only virtual.

As for the VRAM, that is due to you having 8 GB of RAM. 4 GB of RAM allows less VRAM being taken away from the RAM.
