Hey... looking for a stock 9.0 CD that will install on ANY machine. I have an older PowerMac with 8.6 that I would like to update to 9. (Mainly for the sake of MSN Messenger and using XPostFacto to try to get OS X to install)

I have a 9.2.1 CD I could trade.

EDIT: Odd that someone else needs something similar at the same time :) -- Sorrry, max... he gets first dibs on anything that comes up.

I'll take one. How much do you want? Or I could do a trade for a 9.2.2 disk I have.

I will have one as well. Claimed by Max and me. Though because he replied in my thread first, I get the less scratched of the two. :D  (joking)

Well anyway, let us know how much you want to sell them for.

I've got a 9.0.4 disk that should be good. PM me if you want it.

As long as it is the retail version, that is what I am looking for. If it is tied to any system it won't work, since this is going to be installed onto an older PM.

I will wait for California for a bit.

It's a standard system disk. It should install on whatever you need it to. PM me if California falls through.

California, what's going on?

Masterapple04, when you say you have a "Standard system disk" do you mean the kind that comes with an Apple system or one that is standard in terms of it can be installed on any OS9 compatible computer?

Sorry im to hyper -- looking now. Busy work week.

Yes, looking at it now.

It says Mac OS 9
featuring Sherlock 2
Version 9.0.4
691-2684-A
@ 2000 Apple Computer

I also have a 9.2 disc that came with my Tibook in 2001.

The reason I have basic OS 9 is that I also have the Day star control disc with basic OS9/OS X software that they include with their CPU upgrades. I think this would also work.

masterapple04: Is yours the same as his?

What would each of you want me to pay you (I only need one disk, just shopping around :D)

The one Master had was 9.0.4 as a restore disk for an iMac, so I don't think it would work for pre-G3 computers.

California: your PM inbox is full... clear some space... do you still have your 9.0 disk?

Does anyone else have one?

The retail 9.0 would be nice, as would the 9.1, I guess. How much would you want for each individually?

I have a 9.0.? disc if needed.

Is it retail or the iMac/iBook/PB version?

Do you want just the discs?

Do you want just the discs?

Hey, I mean I really don't need the box or documentation if it would cost a lot extra.

both discs for 30?

Why don't we just go 9.0 for $12? Would that be OK?

There are OS9 discs all over ebay, for around 35 bucks new retail in the box. Take a look and sorry my things didn't work out.

Yeah, excactly why I don't want to go on Ebay. I don't need to retail box and frankly, $35 is too expensive. I'm trying to wait on the offer from above.
