I'm looking for experienced panasonic users - i just purchased a panasonic gs150 mini dv camcorder. Imovie is not seeing the camera for importing of footage with the USB cable. Do I need to purchase a firewire cable to get imovie to recognize the camera?
Panasonic is not on the iMovie compatible list, but i've seen posts from people who seem to be using it successfully - is there anything I need to know? (i'm getting kinda nervous since i spent a decent amount of money on the camera that i can't use it with my mac...)
any input from anyone in the know would be appreciated!

Yup, you must use Firewire.

And no need to post the same Q in 2 threads. ;)

You've seen people with Macs using a USB camcorder with movie editing software?

I have never, ever heard of that.
